EDC Strap Fit: Titan Black with a 38mm Buckle

Quick answer

The Titan Black EDC Strap fits a 38mm ratchet buckle using a secure loop-and-tuck method. Ensure the strap end aligns with the buckle slot for a snug, no-slip carry.

Step-by-step fitting guide

1. Insert the strap tail into the buckle slot: Hold the buckle with the release lever facing up. Slide the tapered end of the Titan Black strap through the buckle slot from the outside in, until about 2 inches of strap emerges on the other side. Common mistake: inserting from the inside out. This reverses the locking direction and may cause the strap to pull free.
2. Thread the strap under the buckle bar: Pull the tail back over the buckle bar (the metal piece that separates the two slots). Then slide it under the bar and out through the opposite slot, creating a loop that secures the strap. Checkpoint: The strap should pass over the bar, not under it. Passing under can prevent the ratchet from engaging fully.
3. Tighten and test the lock: Pull the strap tail firmly to remove slack. Then press the buckle release lever to engage the ratchet. Gently tug the strap to confirm it holds without slipping. If it slips, re-thread with more tension. Common mistake: not pulling the tail tight enough before locking. Loose threading can cause the belt to loosen under load.
